I recently learned something startling to me: there is a very deliberate program in place to teach our military members among other things the proper manner to prepare and live by a budget. What is very striking about this is that many businesses owners could truly benefit by knowing as much about such financial matters as our warriors do!
I remember not having any such training while I was in the Marines in the late 70’s. It was month to month at best.
I am pleased to see they are changing the retirement to provide those who stay in for less than 20 years some form of retirement. In truth even with retirement an individual is not necessarily better off to stay for 20 for a variety of reasons.
I intend to add more to this line of thought. I am still musing over the implications of this observation.
